Details: Lozenges are portable, easy to take, and can include a pre-measured quantity of the active ingredient. By sucking a lozenge, the salivary glands are stimulated to provide a flow of saliva which acts as a demulcent and further lubricates and soothes a sore throat. No product in the Cepacol range intestinally contains nut or nut oils. If any nut or nut oil was present, it would be due to contamination of an incoming raw material. Currently we do not ask our suppliers to guarantee that raw materials are free from nut and nut oil. Antiseptics are antimicrobial substances that either kill or inhibit the growth of microbes, usually at the surface of the body, helping to fight infection and sepsis. Antibacterial agents are antiseptics that are effective against bacteria. Antibacterial agents are not usually effective against viruses.
